What do *they* want ?

It's like when you tell your mother "Of course I love broccoli", but what you really want to say is "Who cares about broccoli? I want a chili dog with the works!" Who's going to publicly admit that they don't care about reliable software? At least, this appears to be how certain software companies appear to making their product plans...

The problem with a poll like that is that innovative new features cannot be described without giving an indication of what those features are, also if you ask both questions together you imply that innovative new features, whatever they are, won't work reliably. Was there any definition of what reliably meant? Hmm, seems worthless on two points. How about if you asked, would you like software that interacted with your body and allowed you to control the computer by thinking at it? As opposed to software that is exactly as it is now, but it never crashes. See there is an innovative, unlikely, advance to compare against a possible definition of reliability.

And then made your computer *and* your body crash? I'm sure various Microsoft Office addicts would still go for it even with the sordid truth exposed in the mainstream media.
