Defazio - An Oregon Congressman to be proud of

Rep. Peter Defazio, (D) Oregon, on the bailout...

I've always appreciated Defazio from down in the valley. Now more than ever.

As a Brit, I do so love to slag off American politicians, but blimey! Articulate, intelligent, has a firm grasp on the subject and worldwide implications; I'd vote for him. Would you say he's a typical representative of your assembly and do I need to re-assess my stereotypes derived from Dubya?
